Good morning, folks! It's time for your daily weather update straight from the National Weather Service.
Today in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we're looking at partly sunny skies with a high near 78. Expect a light east wind of around 5 miles per hour.
Tonight, it will be partly cloudy with a low around 66. The east wind will pick up a bit to 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Tomorrow, brace yourself for showers and thunderstorms, especially after 1pm. Some storms could be severe, with a high near 83 and a southeast wind of 10 to 15 miles per hour. There's an 80% chance of precipitation, so keep those umbrellas handy.
Thursday night, showers and thunderstorms will continue, gradually tapering off towards midnight. Some more severe storms are possible, so stay safe. The low will be around 60 with variable wind directions.
As we head into the weekend, Friday brings us sunny skies with a high near 78, followed by clear nights.
Saturday will be sunny with a high near 82, and Sunday will be slightly cooler with a high near 70 under sunny skies.
And looking ahead to Labor Day, expect more sunshine with a high near 71 and calm winds becoming southerly in the afternoon.
