Hey there, weather aficionados! Time to dive into some out-of-this-world forecasts brought to you by the good folks at the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, specifically their Space Weather Prediction Center.
First up, let's chat about geomagnetic activity. Over the next three days, we're expecting Kp levels to range from 4 down to 1.67. For those not familiar with the Kp scale, worry not - we're not anticipating any G1 (Minor) or greater geomagnetic storms.
Moving on to solar radiation activity, the chances of seeing an S1 (Minor) solar radiation storm are at 15% for each day. So there's a slight possibility of catching one of these cosmic light shows in the sky.
As for radio blackout activity, we're keeping an eye out for potential R1-R2 (Minor-Moderate) radio blackouts, with a 60% likelihood. There's also a slight chance, at 15%, of experiencing an R3 (Strong) blackout. Stay tuned for updates on this front!
So, that's the space weather scoop for the upcoming days. Remember, for more info and detailed forecasts, check out the link in our show notes.
