Good morning, San Francisco! Get ready for another exciting weather update brought to you by the National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area/Monterey, California.
Let's jump right into it:
- Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 50°F. A gentle west wind will be blowing at around 7 miles per hour.
- Moving on to Friday, we're looking at a partly sunny day with a high near 61°F. The west wind will pick up a bit, ranging from 7 to 13 miles per hour with gusts as high as 18 miles per hour.
- Friday night brings a high chance of rain, particularly after 3 am. Temperatures will dip to around 48°F with a south wind of 11 to 13 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 70%, and we could see between a quarter to half an inch of rainfall.
As we head into the weekend:
- Saturday will start with rain before noon, transitioning to scattered showers and even thunderstorms later in the day. Expect a high near 58°F with a south-southeast wind of 10 to 14 miles per hour.
- Saturday night's forecast includes showers and thunderstorms before midnight, followed by a chance of rain. Temperatures will drop to around 47°F with shifting winds from southeast to northeast at 6 to 14 miles per hour.
