Clothed With Christ by Robert Woeger. It is vital that you are clothed with The Lord Jesus Christ. You need to put on The Lord Jesus Christ and His Righteousness, and wear His Righteousness as a garment, being so covered with the nature of God and the virtue of God, that nothing else matters, and nothing else distracts from your faith in God, and your relationship with God. When you are clothed with Christ, you are in a place that you cannot be touched by the enemy, because His Righteousness covers you. You dwell in the secret place of the Most High, under the shadow of The Almighty, as Psalms 91 refers to. Romans 13:14 says, Instead, clothe yourself with The Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh. Another translation says, But put on The Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts.
You need to be clothed with Christ, and as you put on The Lord Jesus Christ, and you're clothed with His Garments, His Righteousness, then nothing else matters, then the world will have no part in you, because you have nothing in common with the world, or with the enemy, or with sin. Righteousness is the key, that keeps you in the abiding presence of God, and it's not your own righteousness, which is his filthy rags, but, when we put on, or are clothed with, Christ's Righteousness, then we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Then we can trust God with His Word, and expect Him to fulfill it, because we meet the conditions for righteousness through Jesus Christ, through our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ and in His Righteousness. Job 29:14 says, I put on righteousness and it clothed me, justice was my robe and my turban. Galatians 3:27, For all of you who are baptized into Christ have clothed yourself with Christ. Galatians 5:16 says, So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Ephesians 4:24, And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Colossians 3:10 and 3:12 says, And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourself with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. When you are like Christ, and following after His Nature and His Virtue, then nothing shall be impossible for you, because you can do all things through Christ, because He strengthens you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. Proverbs 3:5 and 6.
And Matthew 6.33 says, But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. So when you're seeking after The Kingdom, and seeking after Christ's Righteousness, then all things shall be added unto you by God. It's so simple.
Many Christians are trying to live a life of legalism, a life after the law of God. And the law of God is good, because it shows us what sin is, and tells us to avoid sin. But except our righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, we shall not enter into The Kingdom Of God. Jesus said that. So our righteousness is not our own, but it's through Christ. He already paid with His Precious Shed Blood on The Cross, the ransom, the penalty, to redeem us from the death curse.
And it's His Righteousness, that Jesus expects us to put on, and to be clothed with. So every day we are to walk according to his righteousness. In every manner of word, conversation, action, everything that we do and say, should be clothed with Christ.
We should have Him, and His Nature, and His Words, coming forth through us. We should be so aligned with Christ's Righteousness in our life that people will see the difference. They will see Christ in you, the hope of glory, and they will marvel because when you speak and act, they will see Christ Speaking and Acting, because you'll do everything in accordance with God's Kingdom, and His Righteousness, and you will do everything according to God's Word. Therefore, you will have the nature of God, as you're clothed with Christ, as you put on The Lord Jesus Christ, and as you hunger and thirst after His Righteousness, you shall be filled, filled with good things. You'll walk in more of His Presence. You'll walk in more of who He Is, and you'll be the true ambassador of Christ, spreading The Gospel for all to see, by your examples, and by your words and actions. So, be that example for Christ. Put on The Lord Jesus Christ. Be clothed with Christ, and have nothing to do with the lusts of the world and the desires of the world.
Instead, put on The Lord Jesus Christ. Be clothed with Christ, and live your life as an example of Christ, and of His Righteousness. God Bless You!
