The Chad Daybell Trial: Day Number 19 (5/9/24)

9 MAY 2024 · Chad Daybell is a former gravedigger and author of apocalyptic novels. He gained notoriety in 2020 in connection with the deaths of his former wife, Tammy Daybell, and his new wife, Lori Vallow Daybell's two children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua "JJ" Vallow. The case has received significant media attention due to its bizarre and complex nature. Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow were both involved in a doomsday prepper group and shared similar religious beliefs. They married shortly after the deaths of both of their former spouses. The deaths of Tammy Daybell and the two children were initially considered unrelated, but suspicions arose when investigators discovered inconsistencies and strange behavior from Chad and Lori. Tammy Daybell died in October 2019 under suspicious circumstances, initially attributed to natural causes. However, her body was exhumed after law enforcement began investigating the deaths of Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow. Autopsy results have not been publicly released. Tylee Ryan, 17, and JJ Vallow, 7, were reported missing in September 2019. Their disappearance sparked a nationwide search. Months later, their bodies were found buried on Chad Daybell's property in Salem, Idaho. Autopsies revealed that Tylee had been dismembered and burned, while JJ had been wrapped in plastic and duct tape. Chad Daybell was arrested and charged with destruction, alteration, or concealment of evidence after the children's bodies were discovered on his property. Lori Vallow was also arrested and charged with multiple counts, including desertion and nonsupport of dependent children, obstruction, solicitation to commit a crime, and contempt of court. In this episode recap what went down during day number 19 of the Chad Daybell trial. The Delphi Murders: Richard Allen's Trial Has been Delayed Until October (5/9/24)

9 MAY 2024 · The trial of Richard Allen, the man accused of the Delphi Murders, has now been delayed until October.  The trial was originally scheduled to get started next week but after a contentious hearing yesterday, things once again took a dramatic swing after the legal team for Richard Allen filed a motion to rescind it's request for a speedy trial.   A motion to rescind a request for a speedy trial is a formal request made by one of the parties involved in a legal proceeding to withdraw their previous request for a speedy trial. When a defendant requests a speedy trial, they are asking for their case to be heard quickly, usually within a certain timeframe as mandated by law. However, there may be instances where circumstances change, and it becomes beneficial for the defendant to have more time to prepare their case or negotiate a plea deal. By filing a motion to rescind the request for a speedy trial, the defendant is essentially asking the court to allow them more time before their trial proceeds. This could be for various reasons, such as needing additional time to gather evidence, secure witnesses, or consult with their legal counsel. The effect of such a motion depends on the decision of the court. If the court grants the motion, it means that the request for a speedy trial is withdrawn, and the trial may be rescheduled to a later date, allowing both parties more time to prepare. However, if the court denies the motion, the trial will proceed as originally scheduled, and the defendant will not have the benefit of additional time. Ultimately, the decision to grant or deny a motion to rescind a request for a speedy trial rests with the judge overseeing the case, and it will be based on the circumstances presented by the parties involved and as we saw with Judge Gull's ruling.    (commercial at 9:14) to contact me: bobbycapucci@protonmail.com source: https://fox59.com/news/delphi-double-murder-trial-delayed-richard-allens-defense-says-trial-needs-to-be-longer/
